abstract

stoichiometric tetragonal bal-xsrxtio3 (x = 0.23) nanopowders were prepared by stearic acid gel(sag) method using barium stearate, strontium stearate, tetrabutyl titanate as ba, sr, ti sourcesand stearic acid as complexing reagent. thermal analysis including differential thermogravimetric(dtg) and tg, fourier transform infrared spectrometry (ftir), x-ray diffraction (xrd) andtransmission electron microscopy (tem) were used to characterize the crystallization process, particle size and morphology of the calcined powders. the results indicated that single- phasetetragonal and well crystallized bal-xsrxtio3 (x = 0.23) nanopowders with particle size around45 nm were formed after calcining the dried gel at 700 °c for 2 h.pacs code: 81,07wx

Structural characterization of BaZrO3 nanopowders prepared by stearic acid gel method

Pure barium zirconate nanopowders were successfully prepared in wet-chemistry synthesismethod, using barium stearate and tetra-n-butyl zirconate as Ba, Zr sources and stearic acid ascomplexing reagent. The gel was calcined at 800 and 900 °C in air. Results of thermal analysisare given, including both DTG and TG. Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), X-raydiffraction (XRD), transmissio...

Synthesis and Characterization of PbTiO3 Nanopowders by Citric Acid Gel Method

High purity lead titanate nanopowders in tetragonal form have been successfully prepared bycitric acid gel method using lead nitrate and tetra-n-butyl titanate as Pb and Ti sourcesrespectively and citric acid as complexing reagent. The precursors were calcined at varioustemperatures ranging from 450 °C to 600 °C for 2 h. Fourier Transform InfraredSpectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) an...

Synthesis, characterization, of Fluorohydroxyapatite nanopowders by sol-gel processing

In this work, sol-gel processing was used to synthesize the fluorohydroxyapatite (nano-FHA, Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2−xFx) nanopowders. The advantages of the sol-gel method over other methods are precise control of composition, low processing temperature, and better homogeneity. Calcium nitrate tetrahydrate, phosphorous pentoxide and Tetrabuthylammon...
